Monavie, Inc, a private held company, was founded in 2005 by Dallin A. Larsen. The company markets a line of nutritional drinks, with the Brazilian Acai berry as a key ingredient. Product claims include antioxidant, joint health, cardio-vascular support, energy boosting and immune support functions.
Revenues in 2008 were $854.9 million. The company is marketing its products through a network of independent distributors in the US and overseas.
Monavie Compensation plan
As an Independent Distributor, your income is from retail profits and Preferred Customer Bonuses, ranging from 18% to 23% of the retail price, depending on the product and quantity sold.
The Monavie compensation plan is binary, meaning that you have to place personally sponsored distributors in one of two legs of your business center.
Team Commissions
To earn Team Commissions on sales in your team, you need to have at least 100PV = $150 personal sales volume and at least one active distributor in each of the two legs of your organization. The Team Commission is 10% on the volume of the lesser leg, which means 5% on the balanced volume in both legs.
Executive Check Matching Bonus
An Executive Check Matching bonus with a floating percentage is paid on the first $2,500 of the team bonuses in your personal enrollment tree.
The team bonus is paid on increasing generations with increasing rank. Generational bonuses start with Executive ranks at 2000GV and above. Each generation ends with the next qualified executive.

Monavie offers distributor training online through Black Diamond University. The BDU topics include product knowledge, science, compliance, building your Monavie business, the Monavie compensation plan, common objections in the field, Monavie and Acai in the news and a Monavie Conference Call Archive.
For products retailing, the courses recommend warm market and local contact approaches, with tasting parties and individual sample tastings.
