Mannatech Inc, founded in 1994, is a publicly traded company (MTEX - NASDAQ), with operations in United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Denmark, Germany, South Africa, Singapore, Sweden, Norway, Austria, and the Netherlands.
The company is marketing nutritional supplements, and products for weight loss, fitness and skincare, through a network of more than 500,000 distributors. Sales in 2008 are reported at $332.7 million.
Mannatech Compensation Plan
You can join Mannatech as an independent associate by signing the associate agreement and purchasing a sign-up pack containing business materials and products
The Registration Pack for $39 includes a product for choice up to$35. The Basic Pack for $99 to $109 has more than 10% of added product value. The Premium Pack offers over $565 value of products.
Retail Commissions
The Mannatech Compensation plan pays immediate commissions on retail sales, sales to members and as direct bonus on sign-up packs from sponsored associates.
Retail and Member Commissions are 20%. The direct bonus is $20 for the Basic Pack and $75 for the Premium Pack.
Power Bonus And Unillateral Bonus
One time Power Bonuses and Fast Start Bonuses are paid for qualified associates who are building organizations with at least three qualified associates in each of two legs.
Long term residual income is paid as Unilateral Bonus on the Actual Pay Out (APO) value of sales in your organization for various levels, depending on your rank. APO is about 25% to 40% of wholesale price, depending on the product.
The income rates increase drastically with increasing rank (group volume), and moderately with greater depth.
The following table compares the residual income rates for three ranks.

The very low commission rates for smaller group volume make it very difficult for the new Associate to generate income from the unilateral bonus. There are three alternatives:
1. Retail
sales and sales to members
2. One time power and fast start
bonuses from recruiting
3. Team bonus
The team bonus pays $100 for Qualified Associates who have at least 6 other Qualified Associates in their downline, until the Unilateral Bonus exceeds that amount.
Mannatech Marketing and Training
In 2007, Mannatech was subject to investigation and fines by the Texas Attorney General for alleged unsubstantiated health claims made by some of its independent associates for its glycol-nutrient supplements. The company enforces its rules and regulations concerning advertising and use of company names and trademarks very strictly, and permits independent websites only for a few upline leaders.
Training for associates is mainly through national, regional and local meetings, with company approved materials covering product and business procedures, plus warm market methods for winning customers.
Mannatech Review and Opportunity Summary
Mannatech is a strong company with valid products. The compensation plan favors for you to start by winning Members as product customers, to earn the higher retail commission.
To acquire a sufficient number of customer leads, you need to go beyond your local circle of contacts. As with all MLM companies, it is important that you solicit new leads without using the company name and brands. Doing so is not only required by company policies, but it will also enable you to position yourself and market more effectively.
