Ameriplan, a private held corporation with headquarters in Plano, Texas, was founded in 1993 by Dennis and Daniel Bloom. The company is providing reduced-fee plans for health care and other services. Discount plans for health care include medical care, dental care, pharmacies, vision care, chiropractors and hearing care. Additional services include AccessSaver discount program for dining and shopping and the SecureNet program with ID Theft Protection, National Child ID, Family Legal Plan, Roadside Assistance and Financial Services.
The
company is reporting more than 1 million members, and is marketing its
services with the MLM model through a network of independent
distributors, called Independent Business Owners (IBO).
Ameriplan Compensation plan
You can start as an Ameriplan IBO for a $50 initial fee and $50 recurring monthly fee. The monthly fee provides access to Ameriplan Business Benefits Package, the AccessSaver Program and other benefits, including Discount Health Care Membership, six E-commerce websites, the IBO Back Office and training resources.
There are two types of commissions: Direct commissions on sales to personally enrolled members and overrides on sales in your organization.
Your direct commission is 20% to 30%. To cover your monthly fee of $50, you need to generate from $170 to $250 in monthly volume.
The commission overrides range start at 15% for the fist generation, and decrease to 1% for the 5th generation and beyond, according to the following schedule:

Your rank ("pin level") increases with increasing sales volume and number of lower pin levels in your downline. Your pin level does not influence your commission rate, but only the depth of generations on which you are paid. This allows you to benefit quickly from recruiting and training new IBOs in you downline.
For example, to advance to Regional Sales Director (RSD), you need $500 in personal sales, giving you a direct commissions of $100. For the next level, Senior Regional Sales Director (SRSD), you need 3 RSD in your downline, generating a minimum of $1,500 total. Your minimal payout from personal commissions and overrides comes to a total of $325:
Ameriplan Training
Ameriplan training is available in the IBO back office and through training calls and websites sponsored by Ameriplan upline leaders. For local advertising and marketing, the company is offering sales aids, such as brochures, fliers, yard signs and DVDs.
A more advanced tool is AmeriCAM, the AmeriPlan Communication and Management System. AmeriCAM comes at three levels, with fees ranging from $14.95 to $49.95. Services include contact management, 800 numbers and auto responders for email follow-up.
The company permits
national advertising and Internet marketing, subject to company
approval and policies. Some upline leaders are offering web training in
national and Internet advertising, mostly for the opportunity. Upline
leaders are also providing training through regular training calls and
online training videos.
Ameriplan Home Business Recommendations
Ameriplan is a privately held corporation, and I could not locate sales and revenue figures. However, the company has been around since 1993 and is reporting more than a million customers. It appears to be stable, and a good opportunity to build an Ameriplan home business.
